Adolf Hitler was the Austrian-born leader of the Nazi party. A decorated veteran of World War I, Hitler joined the Nazi party in 1919 and became leader of Nazis in 1921. Hitler lived in Vienna on an orphan's pension and support from his mother. He was rejected twice by the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, his mom died, and he blamed both events on the Jewish community. Soon after he published Mein Kampf (an autobiography about being racist and put down by the man). In 1933 he became the self-declared dictator over Germany with the image of a savoir from the depression. In 1939 he invades Poland and starts WWII and in 1939-1945 kills 11-14 million people in concentration camps including 6 million Jews in the Holocaust. On April 30 1945 Hitler commits suicide.
